The Moj Fakhteh Cultural and Artistic Institute was established in 2023 in Qom Province, under the authorization of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. The founding board members consist of Saeed Nejati, Maryam Sadat Fazeli, Mahdieh Gholamhosseini Behnamiri, and Sedigheh Ebrahimi.
The Moj Fakhteh Cultural and Artistic Institute commenced its activities with the organization of the First Iran International Open-Air Film Festival and is committed to pursuing a range of cultural and artistic objectives. Its primary goals include elevating the general cultural awareness of society, enhancing knowledge across various cultural domains, fostering the development and training of skilled human resources in the cultural sector, promoting the works of artists to the public, and advancing Iranian and Islamic culture, traditions, and arts.
The institute’s scope of activities encompasses the collection, organization, and composition of articles, as well as the (unofficial) translation of texts and books between foreign languages and Persian. It participates in and executes research, cultural, and artistic projects, compiling documentary collections on cultural, artistic, social, and historical themes. Additionally, it provides consultancy services in managing cultural, artistic, and media affairs and offers project management for cultural and artistic initiatives. Further responsibilities include the design, construction, and operation of cultural and artistic complexes or centers, subject to coordination with relevant authorities, and obtaining the necessary permits. The institute also conducts research into social issues, proposing cultural solutions to address these challenges. It organizes cultural and artistic festivals and delivers public education through short-term training courses and workshops on a variety of topics such as reading, storytelling, creative writing, rhetoric, voice training, life skills education aimed at strengthening family structures, cultural development, talent nurturing, urban living skills, and social harm prevention.
