Siavash Cheraghipour, a well-known figure in cinema, theater, and television, has been appointed as the director of the inaugural Iran Open Air International Film Festival.
According to the Public Relations Department of the National Open Air Film Festival, by order of Saeed Nejati, founder and chairman of the first National Open Air Film Festival, Siavash Cheraghipour, a well-known actor in cinema, theater, and television, will accompany the event as the secretary.
Born in 1963 in Qasr-e Shirin, Cheraghipour is a graduate of the Anahita Art School and holds a Level Two Art Degree. Over the years, he has built an impressive career, starring in more than 70 theater productions, as well as numerous films, TV series, and short films. His notable movie roles include There’s Always a Woman in Between (2008), No Men Allowed (2011), Dance with Me! (2019), and Conjugal Visit (2022). He’s also known for his appearances in popular TV shows like The Bachelors, The Engineer Child, Jeyran, and Chameleons.
Experience in judging theater and cinema festivals, teaching acting in schools, winning the award for best street performer at the Fajr Theater Festival, and being nominated for the Simorgh for a supporting role in the film “There’s Always a Woman in the Middle,” among other honors of this artist.
It is worth noting that the first National Open Air Film Festival, chaired by Saeed Nejati and supported by the Moj Fakhte Cultural and Artistic Institute, will be held in Arous, Lahijan, Gilan, in May 2025.
